Konami has just received some much needed news in their ongoing and often futile battle with FIFA as their beloved PES 17's graphic have just had a massive upgrade.

The gaming company, who been fighting for what seems eternity to reach the heights of their closest rivals in terms of game-play, career mode and kit sponsors, can see some light at the end of the tunnel with the news that 4K graphics will be available for the game on PS4 Pro.

So even with some dodgy looking kits, stadiums you've never heard of and a master league system that baffles even the most veteran of football game addicts, PES is looking like challenging in all fronts for player likeness, finally.

Konami confirmed the news on Friday morning on their Twitter page with the caption: "PES FANS! If you've got a #PS4Pro, you can play #PES2017 in 4K right now."

The new graphics mode is said to bolster visuals and improve performance, as well as crisper details on player faces and improved frame-rate – making for a smoother overall experience.

One man who may not be happy with the recent news is Chelsea's Diego Costa, who may actually look even older on the screen with the new and improved focus on player's facial features. 40 going on 50 for the Spanish striker.
